Daiano - a destination for sunny holidays
Daiano is one of the most sun-kissed villages in the Val di Fiemme
Valley. It is situated - like Varena - at the Passo Lavazè Pass in the Nature
Park Trudner Horn. The Lavazè
Pass connects the Val di Fiemme Valley in Trentino with the
Eggental Valley in South Tyrol and it is a rewarding area for
cross-country and alpine
skiers.
From Lavazè Pass ambitious skiers can reach the huge skiing area
of Obereggen. Daiano and the Lavazè Pass are
attractive holiday destinations in winter as well
as in summer. Here you can choose between a lot of activities. You
can for example make excursions to South Tyrol's only
canyon, taking airy fixed-rope routes to the peaks
of Mt. Rosengarten and Mt.
Latemar on airy fixed, rope routes or go on mountain bike
tours through deep forests and along sunny mountain
pastures.
Finally: very worth visiting are the
Castello Croda Castle and the fonts in Daiano, Cavalese and Varena
which were built in 1875 and 1878 out of only one porphyry
rock.
