Castello di Fiemme - a paradise for cross-country skiers
The Fiemme Valley is a Mecca for
cross-country skiers. The whole
holiday area is crisscrossed by a well prepared slope-network. In
most of the villages you reach the runs directly from your
hotel.
Other things you can do in Castello di Fiemme:
The village has about 2,000 inhabitants and it isn't only
interesting because of the connection to the cross-country ski runs
but also because of its picturesque village core.
Worth seeing are the "Case Romane". The "Case
Romane" are special houses which exist only in Castello di Fiemme.
Their origins can be traced back to the 16th century. Castello di
Fiemme is also the seat of the local government of the villages
Molina, Predaia and Stramentizzo.
It is the ideal location where cross-country
skiers practice their sport in winter, hikers and
bikers enjoy their holidays in summer. As soon as
the snow has melted, the tracks become popular hiking paths and mountain bike
routes. In the end a recommendation: a special attraction in
Castello di Fiemme is the "Acropark", an adventure
park which children and adults alike
enjoy.
